These glasses have deployed with me to Iraq, I play golf with them, I wear them camping, riding my bicycle, and they are invaluable. Instead you get a tiny sample marker to apply one coating yourself...and for the rest of your life buy $20 coating applicators frequently from Oakley (plus S&H). Oakley's unique permanent lens coating was a substantial part of the higher-priced sport sunglasses' functionality, so their value has plummeted substantially. Along with the lame charm logos and an advertisement between your eyes that Oakley spares no expense on you still get some good optics and frames, but adjust your price expectations lower: these should be priced closer to the lower-end Oakleys. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Oakley Radar Pitch Sunglasses, By This review is from: Oakley Men's Radar Pitch Sunglasses (Apparel) I purchased these sunglasses from a local Oakley O Store with the intention of using them for my company softball team. I picked up the array set with the standard grey and ice iridium lenses. Since the lenses are extremely easy to change it's pretty convenient to have two different lenses to accomodate different light conditions. The grey lens is good for lower light while the ice iridium is perfect for very bright light. The frame itself is very lightweight since it only spans the top of the lens and the rubber pieces around the nose and behind the ears grip extremely well. Oakley claims they actually grip better with sweat and moisture and I honestly have to agree. No matter how much you sweat these shades are not going anywhere. I have to mention that these sunglasses are a bit larger than the M Frames and much larger than the Half Jackets so if you have a smaller face then these may not work for you. Try them on first at a store that sells them to compare the different fit... Read more |
